明日（7/10）は “クリニック” イベント開催の日だ。
でも、最近、なぜか、乗り難さを感じていた VTR君。 妙に素っ気なく、”つっけんどん” な態度を振る舞う態度が気になっていた。 日頃、あまり乗っていない後ろめたさもあったので、少し機嫌を取る為、以前（2014年）もしてあげたように、身体のコリをほぐしてやって、きちんと整体をしてあげる事にした。
　
　

　
　
I have been using the VTR250 for many years, but recently I have found it difficult to ride. She was strangely naive and worried about her arrogant movements. Recently, I haven't been riding so much, so I loosened the "stiffness" of the car body and did the chiropractic treatment as I did in 2014.

今回、（VTR君の）身体をほぐして、整体するのに整備した箇所は、エンジンマウント 左右 6ヶ所とスインアームのアクスルシャフト、そして リアのサスペンションユニットの上下2ヶ所のマウントボルトを緩め、車体を正立させてたまま、ゴムハンマーでエンジンからフレームまで衝撃を与えて、一旦放置した。
　
　　

　　
　　
それから、エンジンとスイングアームピポットを結ぶ、プレート状のサブフレーム左右 4ヶ所のボルトを指定トルクで締め、次に、スイングアームピポットシャフトも指定トルクで締め、そして、エンジン中央部とフレームをつなぐ左右2ヶ所のボルトも指定トルクで締めてあげた。

最後に、サスペンションユニットの上下マウント用ボルトを指定トルクの 2割減で締めてあげた。 さあ、機嫌は直っているだろうか？と、燃料タンクやシートを元に戻して、路上につれ出してあげようとして、すぐに、変化に気付いた。

This chiropractic work is simple. While keeping the vehicle upright, loosen the engine mount bolts, the pivot shaft of the swing arm, and the fixing bolts of the rear suspension unit, then hit the engine with a rubber hammer to give an impact and then leave it. And then tighten the engine mount bolts in order of important bolts, then the pivot shaft of the swing arm, and finally the fixing bolts of the suspension unit, using the tightening torque specified by the manufacturer.

最初に、1st （1速）ギアに入れた時のショックが少ないのに気付いた。まるで、超高性能のエンジンオイル添加剤を入れた様な感じと言えば通じるだろうか。（当然、添加剤は入れてない）
そして、走り出せば、もっと多くの違いに気付いた。 真っ直ぐ、気負い無く、スーと走ってくれるのだ。当然、シフトチェンジもスムーズになっている。 さらに、アクセルを戻した時も車体の挙動がスムーズになっている事に気付いた。このスムーズさを体験したお蔭で、昨日はでは、車体後部がアクセルオフで左右に少し揺れる症状があった事に気付かされた程だ。

このアクセルオフ以降、アクセルワークへの神経質な車体挙動が少なくなったので、ターンはうんと楽になった。まるで、一気にライディングスキルが上達した様に感じられるほどで驚いてしまった。 これで、明日（7/10）の現地への往復は随分楽しくなるだろうし、もっと、イベント開催が楽しみになったし、興奮して眠れないほどで、却って心配になる程だ。

After the work, when I checked the city and drove, there was a big change. The first thing I noticed was when I stepped on the shift pedal and put the gear in 1st. The shift shock was lightened as if I put in high-performance engine oil. Then, as I started running, I noticed more changes.
The VTR250 now runs straight very naturally. It was running straight before the work, but it was no longer so nervous that it ran straight as if I had fallen asleep. It is the same when turning, and it changes direction smoothly like the flow of a big river.

これは、きっと、全国の VTR君もご機嫌になるメニューに間違いない。
特に、VTR君は、エンジンがフレームの一部を担当しているから、きっと、大きな変化が生まれるのだと思う。 エンジンガードやスラッシュガードなど、後付けで頑丈なサブフレームを取り付けていない限り、必ず、身体ほぐしと整体で、生まれ変わるのは感じられるだろう。


　
I hope that the regular stress removal and bodywork work will spread to the motorcycle community, as this report shows, because even motorcycles that are handled with care on a daily basis are bound to accumulate stress in various parts of the bodywork.
